“A well-set paragraph has a quiet kind of order.” Its line endings do not compete for attention, and its spaces keep a steady rhythm even when a sentence becomes unexpectedly long.

Justif considers the paragraph as a whole. It can divide words such as recomposition and typographical, keep an inline-token intact, and preserve the meaning of links, emphasis, and selection while the layout changes.

At a narrow measure, the same copy rebalances itself with different breaks. At a wider measure, it returns to a calmer cadence without changing the source text.
